WCTV Live Auction upcoming, donations and volunteers needed
WCTV Live Auction & Entertainment — Take 3 is scheduled for Saturday, May 12, from noon to midnight at the Dudley L. Brown VFW in Onset.
WCTV partners for the event are the Wareham Village Association and Onset Youth Center.
Comedian Scott Record is returning to emcee the auction. Area talent -- including Aaron Norcross, the Sing-Along Singers, Cameron Decas, and Amy DeSilva -- will perform.
Viewers can bid on a variety of auction items donated by local businesses. The live audience and phone auction bidders can participate in "Auction Bucks" raffles.
The nonprofits are still seeking donations of auction items. Donors receive website and on-air acknowledgement relative to the donation value. Visit www.warehamtv.org for donation perks, registration, and links to the nonprofit participants.
Hourly on-air sponsorships are available. For a $200 donation, businesses' scripts will be aired twice during the hour and businesses may participate in a live phone or on-air interview with emcee Scott Record.
A business banner and/or product display, a yearlong business membership to WCTV, a half-page ad in the auction lot and entertainment program, and website and TV business information are also part of the on-air sponsorship package.
For donations, contact Darryl Higgins at oycpres@comcast.net or 508-521-7007; Mary Crowley at mcrowley@capecod.net or 508-989-9362; or Phyllis Decas at cndecas@comcast.net.
For more information about on-air sponsorship, contact Sally Morrison at sammorrison@comcast.net or 774-766-2740 or visit www.warehamtv.org.
Volunteers are needed on Friday for preparation for the auction and on Saturday during the event. Contact Morrison to volunteer.
