This week in high school sports
Girls track
It was a record breaking weekend in girls track! On Saturday, May 11, at the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association Coaches Invitational, Aliyah Alley placed second in the 100m with a time of 12.18, breaking her own school record in the 100m for the second time this year.
The 4 x 400 relay team of Caitlyn Berger, Maddie St. Julien, Paige Fehskens and Alley placed eighth with a time of 4:19.20 breaking the school record set in 1981.
Baseball
The boys fell to Old Rochester Regional High School Friday, May 10, 14-4
Softball
Friday, May 10, Old Rochester Regional High School defeated the Wareham girls, 5-3 in a close game.
Girls tennis
On Monday, May 13, Wareham swept New Bedford 5-0, but unfortunately were in the opposite situation Tuesday, May 14, when Apponequet swept the girls 5-0.
Boys Tennis
Friday, May 10, Case won over Wareham, 3-2 and on Monday, May 13, New Bedford also won with a score of 3- 2. On Tuesday, May 14, the boys fell to Apponequet 3-2.
Volleyball
Friday, May 10, the boys volleyball team lost to Barnstable 3-0.
