Why should you join?
OK, I'll start this out by saying that, if all you want to do on our website is read current stories and comments, check out the photographs, and watch our videos . . . there's no reason to join. Please go to www.WarehamVillageSoup.com and see what we have to offer.
But, if you want to participate in the site in any way, you need to register once and then log in before commenting. Free registration allows you to comment on any story, blog, or discussion on the site. We ask you to provide your real name when registering, but we give you the option of using an anonymous screen name when commenting.
(And you are thinking: "Whoa! Won't that result in a lot of nasty attack comments?" No. We monitor comments and will remove those that are inappropriate. Thus far, we haven't come close to having to remove anything. In fact, most of our current commenters are using their real names, and all are carrying on a civil conversation. Visit WarehamVillageSoup.com and see for yourself.)
One step up from free registration is the bargain-priced "Premium iMembership." For $10 a year - you can sign up online with a credit card - you can comment, start and maintain your own blog, post free classified ads, and get free access to our archives. As with the free members, you need to give us your real name, but you can use a screen name to comment.
Not a techie? None of this - signing up, commenting, even maintaining a blog - requires highly technical skills. The site was designed to be used by ordinary people who've spent no time in geekdom.
Even so, you're having problems? Call us at 508-322-7157 or message me at anne@warehamweek.com, and we'll provide some patient tech support in language you can understand.
So, please, join us online -- in whatever way you feel most comfortable!
