A Wareham woman was arrested Wednesday for possession of heroin and driving with a suspended license, according to Wareham Police.

Courtney Mitchell, 27, was found with six grams of heroin in two plastic baggies hidden in a soda can after a 10:45 a.m. traffic stop on Main Street in the area of Stoney Run Drive, according to police.

Police said Mitchell had two outstanding warrants and a revoked Massachusetts driver's license. There were two children in the vehicle who were not related to Mitchell.

Mitchell was placed under arrest at the scene and was arraigned at Wareham 4th District Court on charges of possession of a class A substance (Heroin) with intent to distribute, and operating after license suspension, according to the police.

Mitchell was also arrested for the two outstanding warrants, which will also be addressed at the arraignment, police said.
