The Youth Soccer 15U team wins division championship
Capping off an undefeated 2019 Fall Season, the Wareham U15 Travel Soccer Team won the Fall Division 2 championship 5-0.
The Wareham Youth Soccer U15 Travel Team hosted playoffs at Decas Elementary Soccer fields on Saturday, Nov. 2, and came away with the win against Falmouth.
Halfway through the first half, Vincent Suh dribbled through the middle and crossed the ball to Juan Sameja for the first goal of the game. Just ten minutes later, Reilly Garber took a pass from Sameja and scored another goal, putting Wareham ahead 2-0.
The second half started with PJ DaCruz breaking through and kicking the ball to the back of the net. Then, Jackson Veugen worked his way into the middle of the field and passed the ball to Brodie Scott, ultimately breaking the defense and making it to 4-0. Jackson Veugen finished the game by taking advantage of an open space on the field and scoring the final 5th goal.
“A special shout out to the Wareham midfielders and defense doing what they’ve done all season, playing top notch defense and resisting every offensive push by Falmouth,” said coach Roy Veugen.
The team players include: Dylan Connell, PJ DaCruz, Ryan Elicier, Andrew Forrest, Reilly Garber, Daniel Maloney, Anthony Marraffa, Cody Mazzoli, Juan Sameja, Malachi Samuels, Brodie Scott, Vincent Suh, Jackson Veugen, Cole Volkema and Leandro Andrade.
