Fifteen fourth grade students at The John W. Decas Elementary School were inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
The school started the first chapter of the national organization in this area in 2012. Membership is based on students’ academic achievement and character, among other criteria.
The students must also demonstrate four very important qualities -- scholarship, responsibility, service, and leadership.
This year’s inductees are: Amaya Anderson, Sheridan Bancroft, Maya Brown, Anajae Council, Nikolas Daher, Kyle Finn, Riley Fox, Allison Horton, Jake Lukk, Olivia Powers, Colton Rasmussen, Noah Reardon, Patrick Spenard, Abby Wiksten, and Riley Gomes.
