WS Development and Wareham Crossing would like to give a big heartfelt thank you to all the supporters of the 1st Annual Braveheart Awards at Wareham Crossing this past Saturday.

We'd like to thank all the people who came out on their busy Saturday to support the troops and award winners and give to the donation drive.

Thank you to Senator Scott Brown and WTKK's Michele McPhee for hosting the event for us and doing such a great job.

A special thank you to the Wareham Junior ROTC who volunteered to help our staff throughout the entire day. We couldn't have done it without you.

We'd also like to thank the students at St. Mary's Primary School, in Taunton, and at the John Decas Elementary School, in Wareham, for their drawings and letters of encouragement to support our heroes and troops. Thank you Ellen Osborn, art teacher at the Decas School, for organizing a beautiful mural of student artwork that we proudly displayed during the event.

Our large and delicious flag made out of 250 cupcakes was baked and decorated by Upper Cape Tech sophomore, Autumn Roberge. Great job Autumn!

U.S. Army Major Paul, Sergeant Botsch and Sergeant Schmidt coordinated great activities for the kids including the rock climbing wall and also brought in the army flatbeds for our stage. Thank you!
