Anthony D. Martin, Sr., 78 of Norwich, Connecticut, beloved husband of Juanita (Penha) Martin died Wednesday, March 25 at the Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center. Born in Wareham, he was the son of the late Antone and Minnie (Perry) Martin.

Mr. Martin worked for many years as a construction worker with various companies. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and was a true Red Sox fan.

Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Juanita Martin; a son Anthony D. Martin, Jr. of Norwich; a daughter Tina Annette Martin of Norwich; two brothers Ernest Martin and wife Glenda of California and Joseph Martin and wife Andrea of New Bedford; sisters Delores Sequeira and husband Gordon of Marion, Beverly Bingham and husband George of Mashpee, Lorraine Andrade and husband Buddy of Maryland, Barbara Monteiro and husband John of Falmouth, Joyce Evora of Onset, and Sheila Fortes of Sagamore Beach; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Pauline Fontes of Onset and a brother Gerald Martin of Onset.
