Cranberry Commons welcomes two new businesses
Cranberry Commons, the portion of the old Ocean Spray complex that survived last winter's fire, welcomed two new businesses this month. One sells furniture, the other details cars at the 3065 Cranberry Highway location in East Wareham.
Walker’s Beds and More offers just what the name suggests.
With a showroom of about 1,200 square feet, there is limited room for inventory. But owner Jason Walker says customers can order entire bedroom sets and other furniture, and have everything delivered within two weeks.
At this point, Walker says the store is “a one-man operation with help from family.”
He says he is focused on “getting through the winter” and attracting customers, but would eventually like to rent more space next door, expanding the showroom to between 8,000 and 9,000 square feet.
“This town really doesn’t have a full furniture store now,” Walker said.
Neighboring new business Executive Car Care offers auto detailing and window tinting.
Owner Derek Williams says he has been doing auto detailing for 15 years, previously operating six auto detailing stores on the North Shore and in the Boston area. Detailing is "definitely a fallback for me,” he says.
Plus, he enjoys being his own boss: “I don’t have to worry about being five minutes late and getting fired.”
Packages for detailing include exteriors, interior, and complete detail packages. Prices vary depending on the size and type of car. The shop also cleans motorcycles.
