Through its annual golf tournament, The Gateway Tavern has raised and donated $9,000 to the Wareham High School Library Media Center.

Since 2009, Joe Sauro of The Gateway Tavern has donated a total of $45,750 to the library, including this year’s donation.

The donations have been used to transform the media center from a quiet, traditional library to the hub of the school with technology, a presentation space, a portfolio center, mobile technology and an updated collection. Next year’s tournament will be held at Little Harbor Golf Course on Oct. 16, 2016. For more information, call 508-291-6040.
