Wareham, State Police arrest five in warrant sweep

A sweep near Dinah’s Way, conducted by local and state law enforcement early Thursday morning, has resulted in several arrests, police said.

Detectives and patrol officers of the Wareham Police Department and officers with the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section arrested five Wareham residents for outstanding warrants pertaining to various criminal charges and failure to report to scheduled court appearances.

The following people were arrested and transported to Wareham District Court for arraignment on April 14:

Christina Conway, 28, of 18 Sean Circle, East Wareham, two default warrants, Falmouth and Wareham District Courts

Adam Veary, 28, of 4 Doherty St., Onset, four Barnstable District Court default warrants, one Plymouth District warrant and one Orleans District default warrant.

Michael Smith, 25, of 14 Norris St., Wareham, five warrants issued by Wareham District Court.

Kyle Smith, 25, of 5 Tremont Center Road, West Wareham, four warrants issued by Wareham District Court.

Henry Szwedko, 46, 38 Dinah’s Way, Wareham, four warrants issued by Wareham District Court.
