Richard W. Gendron, 59
Richard W. Gendron, 59, long-time resident of Onset, died unexpectedly on June 15. He was born in Winchington, MA, son of the late Phyllis and Richard (Bud) Gendron. He attended Wareham schools.
He worked locally installing carpet, was employed as a mate on the Onset Viking cruises (which he referred to as the “Good Ship Lollipop”) and most recently was living in Taunton, caring for his brother.
Rich was a huge Patriots fan, liked NASCAR, and enjoyed keeping in touch with everyone through Facebook. He loved fishing, boating and he was never happier than when he was down the beach by the bridge having a beer while catching up with friends and family. He was a very caring person and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his brother Roy Gendron and his wife Linda, his brother Arthur 'Franny' Gendron, his brother Edward Gendron, his brother David Gendron and his sister Cherri Dooley and her husband Scott.
He also leaves behind many nephews and a niece, and his beloved daughter, Amy Campbell, of Florida.
Services will be announced at a later date.
