Charles A. Dustin, 89, of Wareham and Bonita Springs, Florida, died Monday, July 11, 2016 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. He was the husband of Helen M. (Pietras) Dustin.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late James and Elsie (Damon) Dustin. He graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School and received his Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Tufts University. A longtime resident of Taunton, he moved to Wareham 27 years ago.

Mr. Dustin was production manager for Bacon Felt Company from where he retired. He had previously been employed for Polaroid, W.R. Grace Co. and Colgate. During World War II, Mr. Dustin served in the Canadian Army.

Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Dustin of Wareham and Bonita Springs, Florida; two daughters, Linda D. McGillicuddy of Medway and Bettina V. Rudnicki of Norfolk. He was predeceased by his son, the late Carl J. Dustin. Also surviving are his brother, Damon Dustin of Boxford; his sister, Rachel Farrara of Petaluma, California, several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham at 9 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours have been omitted.
