Chris Coile Band raises $1,200 for Damien’s Place

Aug 31, 2016

After finishing its sixth performance this year, the Chris Coile band has raised $1,200 for Damien’s Place food pantry.

The shows took place at The Fan Club on Cranberry Highway. Donations came from audience members and for every $5 given the donor received a Chris Coile CD.

Chris Coile has helped raise money for charity for many years in Wareham. This year, Coile was joined by Mark Darling, J. Meere and Kellie Hajjar.

The Wareham-based Damien’s Place services over 8,400 families from Buzzards Bay to New Bedford. Last year, it distributed more than 57,000 bags of food. The pantry is staffed with more than 100 volunteers from the area. It is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Chris Coile band start performances again at the Fan Club in Wareham next May.

Financial donations of any amount can be mailed to The Family Pantry-Damien’s Place at P.O. Box 111, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
