Grumpy’s 5K Cranberry Harvest Race takes place on Nov. 5 at 9 a.m. at the A.D. Makepeace Company headquarters in Tihonet Village, 150 Tihonet Road. The race route winds through a cranberry bog during harvest time.

Proceeds will benefit the Cranberry Educational Foundation’s Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are given to local students who are either graduating from area high schools or students currently in college, with preference being given to those whose major are in the fields of agriculture or the environment.

There are three ways to register:

• Advanced registration and number pick-up on Nov. 4 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Box Mill Hall.
• Race day during registration/number pick-up from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the Box Mill Hall on site.

Each registrant will receive a T-shirt. The first 200 registrants will also receive a complimentary pair of shoes. Grumpy’s nature-inspired photography will be on display during the post-race festivities.
