Register now for the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce Annual Breakfast Meeting & Awards Ceremony set for Jan. 25 at 7:30 a.m. at Marriott’s TownePlace Suites Wareham Buzzards Bay, 50 Rosebrook Place, Wareham.

The Chamber will present its Ambassador of the Year Award to Lynn Laporte of Ebb and Flow Wellness. Laporte is a Cape Cod native and an esthetician at Ebb and Flow Wellness in Onset. She has been in the skincare industry for more than 10 years.
She currently volunteers with the American Cancer Society’s Look Good Feel Better Program which supports women going through cancer treatments.
Laporte is an ambassador with the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, belonging to the Cape Cod Chamber, and also the 6 Degrees Networking Group in Bourne.
She is a graduate of the Spa Tech Institute Esthetics Program, and holds her Massachusetts State Esthetics Teacher License. She has continued her education to include Reiki, reflexology, aromatherapy and oncology skincare.
In addition to her passion for helping people, Laporte has always been drawn to animals. She resides in Bourne with her husband on their farm. They have horses, goats, chickens and their family dog Sasha.
The Business of the Year Award will be presented to SERVPRO of Upper Cape Cod & The Islands. After 25 years in the construction industry, owners Bill and Beth Russell expanded their services to include cleanup and restoration. The couple opened their first SERVPRO location in Bourne in 2008.
They have satellite locations on both Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard and recently expanded to include a franchise in the Greater Bristol County area. SERVPRO specializes in the cleanup and restoration of residential and commercial property damage caused by fire, smoke, soot or water and flood damage, as well as providing mold inspections and mold removal.
Both graduated from Sandwich High in 1984 and raised their family in Sandwich. Beth continued her education and graduated from Cape Cod Community College with an associate in arts degree and went on to graduate from Suffolk University with a bachelor’s of science degree in public relations and communications in 2005. Recently, The Russell’s moved from their hometown of Sandwich to Bourne where their business is located.
