Church of the Good Shepherd starts 2011 concert series

Pianist Christoper Brown kicks off the 2011 Church of the Good Shepherd concert series on Sunday, March 27 at 3 p.m., accompanied in part with the Cantabile String Trio.

Christopher and the trio and often the Quartet have preformed together all over the New England area. One half of the program will inclued Chopin's First Piano Concerto Arranged for piano and strings. A second portion of the performance will feature Christopher playing Franz Liszt's Piano Sonata in B minor.

The Church of the Good Shepherd invites all to attend the four musical offerings. The second concert on April 17 features the annual return of vocalist Emily Nyman. On June 19, world renowned pianist Michael Tsalka will perform. Finally, pianist Shuann Chai will perform on September 25.

All performances are held on Sundays at 3 p.m., followed by light refreshments and an opporunity to meet the musicians. Ticket at the door are $8. Students are free. The church is located at 74 High Street and is handicap accessible.

Season tickets are available for $30 admitting one, $50 admitting two, and $100 for an unlimited number.
