Antique seekers find treasures at 41st annual Antiques and Craft Faire

A long-running Wareham Historical Society tradition continued Tuesday as curiosity hunters attended the 41st annual 4th of July Antiques and Craft Faire.
Held on the village green, the faire featured a variety of items for sale, including rare books, vintage glassware and antique furniture.
The event, which included appraisals from Frank McNamee of Marion Antiques, attracted both locals and others from across Southeastern Massachusetts seeking treasures. For a sample of some of the visitors and their finds, see the gallery below.

Cayla Stafford of Marion purchased an illustrated version of "Little Women" printed in 1956 at the faire. Stafford, who collects vintage books, said she loved the illustrations in this edition. "I love old books, and this one is beautiful." BY MATTHEW BERNAT

Ellen Keogh of Marion purchased this bowl, made by renowned potter Henry Holl of Cape Cod. Keogh said she learned about Keogh's reputation earlier that day. "I bought it for $24, but it's probably worth $60. I'm not supposed to be collecting things at my age, but I couldn't say no to this." BY MATTHEW BERNAT
