A pedestrian may have been struck by a car on Monday when a driver allegedly under the influence hit a parked car on Main Street.

The driver, Christine Andrews, 61, of Wareham, collided with a parked car in front of the post office. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage, according to a police press release.

A 20-year-old man was lying on the ground where the car was parked.

The man, a Wareham resident, was treated by Wareham Fire Department and Wareham EMS personnel for minor scrapes and bruises.

At this time, whether the man was actually struck by the car is still under investigation.

Andrews, the only occupant of the car, was not injured and was placed under arrest, charged with OUI, reckless operation and marked lanes violations.
