Minot Forest Elementary School assistant principal leaves for Plymouth

Feb 8, 2018

Former Minot Forest Elementary School Assistant Principal Denise Tobin has left her position for a new job in Plymouth.

Tobin is now principal at the Plymouth Early Childhood Center, a preschool located in the Plymouth Community Intermediate School. Her first day on the job in Plymouth was Jan. 29, according to published media reports.

Tobin had 26 years of experience in Wareham Public Schools. She started as a special education teacher before transitioning into an administrator role five years ago as the early childhood coordinator. For the past three and a half years, she served as assistant principal.

Tobin is originally from Hanover and currently lives in Plymouth with her husband.

Tobin is the second Wareham administrator to publicly accept a position in another district. In early February, Wareham Middle School Principal Dr. Peter Steedman accepted a position on Martha’s Vineyard as director of the island’s public charter school. He will start his new job after the school year ends.
