Paul Mullins, 87
Paul C. Mullins, 87, of Wareham, formerly of Brockton and Raynham, died April 18 in Wareham Healthcare in Wareham. He was he son of the late Henry and Helen (Dolan) Mullins.
He was born in Avon and lived in Brockton for many years. He then lived in Raynham for 15 years before moving to Wareham three years ago. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He graduated from Avon High School and Bridgewater State College.
Mr. Mullins was a science teacher for the City of Brockton Public School System for many years before retiring.
He was an avid outdoorsman and he enjoyed traveling. He was a member of the American Legion Post 405 in Raynham.
Survivors include his children, Daniel P. Mullins of E. Wareham, David J. Mullins of Athens, Maine and Kathleen Tierney of Raynham; two sisters, Mary Veracka of Avon and Alice Fredette of Hingham; a brother, Dick Mullins of Dalton; five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Shirley Rajala and his brothers, Russ and John Mullins.
Visiting hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham.
