Jo-Anna Mott, 58

Jo-Anna Mott, 58, of Clinton, died May 10 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston. She was born in Wareham and lived in Lancaster, Marlborough, and Atlanta, Georgia before moving to Clinton five years ago.

She graduated from Pioneer Valley Academy in New Braintree and Fisher Junior College.

Ms. Mott worked as an office manager for Dr. William Foley.

She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed hosting social events at her home.

Survivors include her parents, Robert Mott, Sr., and Rita (Lopes) Mott of Alamogordo, New Mexico; two sons, Roger A. Gomes, III and his wife Crystal of Oak Bluffs and Jarrod Gomes and his wife, Amy of Clinton; a daughter, Raven Baptiste of Clinton; three brothers, Robert Mott, Jr. of Clinton, Ronald Mott of Orange, and Rodney Mott of Gardner; a sister, Roberta Mott of Marlborough; three grandchildren, Roger Gomes, IV, Everly Gomes and Kash Gomes; six nieces, four nephews and one great-nephew; countless extended family and friends.

Because Jo-Anna’s greatest joy was to be surrounded by family and friends, her family will host a celebration in her honor starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at 1007 Point Road, Marion.
