History, art come together during weekend tours at Wareham's Fearing Tavern

Aug 22, 2018

The Wareham Historical Society’s Fearing Tavern is now open for tours featuring works of art on display. While Wareham Historical Society docents discus the tavern, members of the Bourne-Wareham Art Association will be displaying original artwork for sale.

The combined tour and art show is ongoing now until the last weekend of September. The tavern will be open weekends from 1 to 4 p.m. A portion of all art sales will benefit scholarships.

Art association members scheduled to exhibit include: Patricia White, Betty Beaulieu, Tim Foley, Charlene Mackiewicz, Mary Nyman, Mark Madden, John Wiliszowski, Maureen Bean and Charles Wood.

Tavern visitors will see original watercolors, oil paintings, pastel paintings, wood carvings, prints, photography and craft items. Also on display will be items from the Wareham Historical Society’s archives.
