Cranberry Coast Concerts killed 'em in New Bedford!

The Wamsutta Club in New Bedford was the site for Cranberry Coast Concert's season-ending dinner theater party. The event, entitled "Murder at the Wamsutta," played to a packed house at the historic club. CCC directors and pianists Kirk Whipple and Marilyn Morales were joined by company members Mike Duarte, Albert Iannuccilli, Cathy Molitor, Cathy Portlock, Jessica Schloeser, Steve Tinkham and Linda Westgate for a fun-filled night of music and mayhem!
The audience was treated to a pre-show "guess the character" game in the piano parlor, after which they moved into the dining room for dinner - and murder! The crowd was entertained by songs from the characters and a fine meal prepared by the Wamsutta Club staff. CCC director Whipple and club manager Cindy Bouchard made a joint announcement that the Wamsutta Club will be the New Bedford venue for CCC's seventh season, summer of 2012.
Cranberry Coast Concerts will present "just one more" at Eastern Bank on Friday, September 16th at 7:00 p.m. The CCC Chorale will be featured with Whipple and Morales at the piano in a performance of the finale of Beethoven's ninth symphony. The group will add Chris Brown on piano and Albert Iannuccilli on percussion in a world premier of Whipple's "Jabberwocky," a musical setting of Lewis Carroll's nonsensical poem. This new piece, one of eight movements for one piano / six hands, choir and percussion, is a preview of Whipple's work in progress, entitled "Dark and Stormy Night," and will include musical settings of seven other poems. The entire set will receive it's premier next summer during CCC's seventh annual series of events.
