Mary J. (Fernandes) Santos, 90, of Wareham, died November 23 at home. She was the widow of the late George Santos and the daughter of the late Charles and Matilda (Mendes) Fernandes.

She was born in Wareham and lived there all of her life.

Mrs. Santos worked as a floor supervisor at Ocean Spray Cranberry Company for many years before retiring.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Dudley Brown V.F.W. Post 2846 in Onset. She had served on the Board of Directors of the Cape Verdean Relief Association. She also enjoyed playing dominos and listening to music. She loved being around her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley A. Santos of Cambridge; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children, Rosemarie Connolly, George Santos, Jr., Richard Santos, and Robert Santos and a granddaughter, Cheryl Wallace.

Her funeral was held November 29 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial is in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
