Nature’s Medicines, a retail cannabis dispensary to be located at 3119 Cranberry Highway in East Wareham, has received its final retail license from the Cannabis Control Commission and will announce its opening date soon. 

Nature’s Medicines is a multi-state chain of dispensaries, with other Massachusetts locations in Fall River and Uxbridge. The company has been working to open in Wareham since 2018, although initial negotiations with the town were conducted under the business’s former name, Xiphias Wellness. 

A representative for the company said that a job fair will be held at the store soon. The dispensary is located in the old Sears appliance store in Jordan Plaza. 

The dispensary is the third in Wareham to receive its final license from the Cannabis Control Commission. Verilife, located on Main Street, has been open for several years, and Trade Roots on Thatcher Lane received its final license in January. Trade Roots is also set to announce an opening date soon.

The town has limited the total number of dispensaries in town to three.
