WAREHAM – Carmen Maria DeMiranda, 71, of Wareham, passed away on Feb. 20, 2025, in Lahey Clinic Hospital, Burlington. She was the daughter of the late Abilio and Cecelia R. (Gonzales) DeMiranda.

She was born in Columbus, OH and lived in Marion for many years and in St. Petersburg, FL for several years before returning to Wareham, MA. She graduated from Old Rochester Regional High School in Mattapoisett.

Survivors include her son, Erik L. DeMiranda of Cumberland, RI; her brothers and sisters, Abilio DeMiranda, Jr. of Wareham, Antonia White DeMiranda of Brewster, Manuel DeMiranda of Plymouth, Adelio DeMiranda of Bridgewater, Patrio DeMiranda of Plymouth, Cunina Gonzales and Odelia DeMiranda both of CA, Verdia DeMiranda of Duxbury and Raphael Gonzales of Chelsea; 3 grandchildren, Vanessa DeMiranda, Jace DeMiranda and Diem DeMiranda; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Visiting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 94 High St., Wareham. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
