The Wareham Historical Society invites the public to a meeting to learn about Cape Verdean-American buildings and landscapes in Wareham.

The meeting will be held at the Methodist Meeting House located at 495 Main Street Saturday, March 22 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The meeting will focus specifically on Oakdale, a Cape Verdean enclave in Wareham and it will be presented by Sally McMurry, a History Professor at Penn State University.

McMurray will present how the buildings can tell important stories and will suggest themes that can be extended to other Cape Verdean-American sites.

After the talk attendees will have an opportunity for open discussion about the presented material.
