The School Committee is seeking members for the new superintendent search committee.

Current Superintendent Matt D’Andrea is set to retire following this school year and the School Committee is looking to form a 13 member committee to find his replacement.

The search committee will consist of the following positions.

one regular education parent
one special education parent
one elementary school teacher
one middle school teacher
one high school teacher
one school principal
two central office administrators
one high school student
two school committee members
one town official
one community member at large

Joining the committee will include committing to being at five, three to four hour meetings that will start at 5 p.m.

An orientation meeting for anyone interested will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 8 followed by a screening of applicants on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Candidate selection and a review of questions will be Thursday, Oct. 23, followed by interviews on Oct. 28 and 29.

Those interested in joining can email search committee chair Kevin Brogioli at kbrogioli@wareham.k12.ma.us. Applicants are asked to include one or two paragraphs explaining what role they would like and why they would like to join the committee.

The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, Oct. 1 and all applicants will be notified of their status Friday, Oct. 3.
