Join the Wareham Land Trust and Stella Maris Yoga Studio for an outdoor yoga session focusing on mindfulness and nature.

The session will be held Thursday, Sept. 25 at the Douglass S. Westgate conservation area, 29 Papermill Road from 10 to 11 a.m. All skill levels are welcome and outdoor yoga sessions will be held every Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. until Oct. 23.

The land trust recommends bringing a yoga mat or towel, water, comfortable clothing and bug spray.

Lifting spirits

Touching on the ethereal history of Onset, the On-i-set Wigwam will hold its spiritual camp fair. 

The fair will feature mediums, psychic readers, astrologers and palm readers at 9 Crescent Place in Onset Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The On-i-set Wigwam was completed in 1894, 17 years after the founding of Onset. The Wigwam was designed as a healing center The Wigwam continues to hold Sunday services which include spiritual healing, sermons and messages. The fair will offer food trucks, vendors and a raffle alongside activities for children.

Crafting up a good time

Head down to Swifts Beach not to build sand castles or jump in the water, it’s time for a fall craft fair.

The Swifts Beach Improvement Association is hosting their fall craft fair Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 38 Pleasant Street.

The event will feature local vendors, baked goods, raffles and other surprises.

Planting new memories for fall

Live music and the rumblings of classic, vintage and new cars will be heard as a celebration of the end of summer and beginning of the harvest season takes over Onset.

The Onset Bay Association is hosting their annual Harvest Moon Festival Saturday, Sept. 27. Vendors, a car show, food trucks and live music will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The car show presented by the Rusty Nuts Car Club of Wareham will be held on the Onset Pier.

Live music will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the bandshell. Over 100 craft, merchandise and service vendors will line the perimeter of Prospect Park with 12 food vendors in attendance. The festival will also include balloon art, face painting and caricatures. 

Limited street parking is available with free parking at Hynes Field and the Temple Lot on Union Avenue.

Take a brake

Wareham Ford and Wareham DECA are working together to help raise up to $6,000 in support of Wareham High School DECAs future competition travel as part of the Drive 4 UR School program.

Those interested in test driving a vehicle can visit the Town Hall parking lot at 54 Marion Road Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

For every person who test-drives a new Ford vehicle at this one-day event, Ford Motor Company will donate $30 to Wareham DECA.
