Nicholas A. Kenyon, 90
Nicholas A. Kenyon, 90, of Wareham, died October 18, in St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford. He was the son of the late Peter and Annie (Moses) Kenyon.
He was born in Acushnet and lived in New Bedford and Nantucket before moving to Wareham many years ago.
He served in the United States Navy during WWII.
Mr. Kenyon owned and operated Baystate Utilities in Wareham for many years. He also managed Jet Gas in Nantucket and the Mexican Hat Club in New Bedford.
He was a life member and past Elk of the Year at the Wareham Lodge of Elks #1548, a life member of the Lebanese American Veteran’s Association, a member of the Lebanese American Society, a life member of the American Lebanese Club in Fall River, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his beloved wife Sally; his son, Artie of Wareham; a grandson, Joey (the light of his life). He was the brother of Joseph Kenyon and his wife Marie of New Bedford, Louis Kenyon of Fairhaven, and Marion Mahoney of Atlantic Beach, FL. He was the brother-in-law of Michael and Gail Sirrico of Wareham, and Eleanor Kenham of Fairhaven. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers, Peter Kenham, Moses Kenham, and his brother- and sisters-in-law, Sophie Kenham, Jeanette Kenyon, and Timothy Mahoney.
