Anthony Joseph “Cushy” Spinola, 93
ONSET – Anthony Joseph “Cushy” Spinola, 93, of Onset, passed away on June 18, 2025, at Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation, Buzzards Bay. He was the husband of the late Maryann (Gomes) Spinola and the son of the late Vincent and Alice (Rogers) Spinola.
He was born in Boston and lived in Onset for most of his life. He graduated from Wareham High School.
He was a Korean War Veteran serving the in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Spinola worked as a Superintendent in the Construction Field for many years before retiring.
He was a member of the Dudley Brown VFW Post 2846 in Onset and the Laborer’s Union, Local 22. He enjoyed going to high school sporting events, boating, cars, working, building and fixing things. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them.
Survivors include his children, Lynn Spinola of Onset, Lisa Rego and her husband, Paul of New Bedford, and Anthony “Tony” Spinola of Onset; his brother, Joseph A. Spinola and his wife, Regina of Acushnet; 3 sisters, Gloria Thatcher of Wareham, Eloise Spinola and Gabriella “Nancy” Spinola and her husband, Frank Pierre all of Brockton; 8 grandchildren, Shikara, Erika, Mychal, Cherese, Marquise, Marcus, Mariah and Dylan; 11 great grandchildren, Noah, Matayah, Julian, Mekhi, Logan, Mychayla, Emerson, Mila, Avery, Skyela, and Ariana; a great great grandson, Theo Fernandes. He was the father of the late Glenn W. Spinola and Mark A. Spinola and brother of the late Vincent Spinola, Jr., Thomas Spinola, Phillip Spinola, Gladys Baptiste, Lucy Senna, Lillian McGruder, and Frances Sanchez
Visiting hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2025, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
