A new Taco Bell replacing the old BB’s Bar and Grille could be coming to Wareham as soon as the end of this year.
The plan was recently approved by the Planning Board and Director of Development and Construction for Desert De Oro Foods, a company that owns and operates hundreds of Taco Bells across the country said he hopes the restaurant will open later this year.
“We’re targeting to be open by the end of 2025 but it could be early 2026 depending on the New England weather,” Raymond said.
The project includes building a new, 2,094 square foot restaurant that will seat up to 20 people. The new building will also include a drive-thru.
The restaurant will be located at 2424 Cranberry Highway, the location of the former BB’s Bar and Grille.
“We’re in the process of about to start taking down the existing structure and jump right into the site work,” he said.
Raymond added the Taco Bell he is building is a different franchise from the joint Taco Bell and KFC at 3015 Cranberry Highway.
“We’re just really excited to be there,” he said. “We’re really excited to bring tacos to Wareham.”
