Brayton N. Newell, 92, known as "Mr. Newell the TV Man"
Brayton N. Newell, 92, Onset, passed away on Thursday, May 26th, 2011 of natural causes at the Forestview Nursing Home in Wareham.
Best known around the greater Cape Cod area as “Mr. Newell the TV man," he owned several repair shops, working well into his 80s. Although working defined his life, he also enjoyed several cross-country trips in his Winnebago and the company of his grandchildren.
Mr. Newell was a World War II, U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife; Priscilla L. (Billard) Newell; his daughters, Joyce Morrison and her husband Michael of Wareham; Marilou Newell and her husband Paul N. Coderre, Sr. of Mattapoisett; his son, James Newell and his wife Diane of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Stephen, Joseph, and Grace Morrison and Jason Newell; his great-grandchildren, Erica Anderson, Jacob Morrison, and Emily Newell as well as two great-great-granddaughters.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tues., May 31st at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 to 8 p.m. Graveside services on Wednesday morning will be private.
