The Cape Verdean Picnic will be held on Sunday, Aug.15 at the VFW in Onset from 2 to 7 p.m. Attending the picnic will cost $10 and children under 12 will be free.

Amilton Tavares and Band will entertain. Candida Rose will perform as a guest artist. Lady K will DJ between sets.

There will be a raffle with $250, $100 and $50 prizes. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.

“Join the Onset Cape Verdean Festival Association for a fun family day,” the association encouraged in a press release.

All proceeds from the picnic will go toward funding the 2022 Onset Cape Verdean Festival.
