Community Events Committee now accepting funding requests

 The Wareham Community Events Committee is now accepting applications for funding for 2021 events.

All funding requests received by Friday, April 23, will be reviewed at the committee’s April meeting. Applicants are encouraged to apply early as applications will only be accepted until available funds are depleted.

The committee’s mission is to support programs developed by nonprofit and town-sponsored organizations by providing funding for advertising in newspapers, social media, radio, TV, posters, postage, t-shirts (printing and set up only.)  This financial assistance is intended to help start and establish an event. 

Most events sponsored by nonprofits and 401C organizations are eligible for funding, including school plays, home shows, musicals, movies, dances and waterfront events. Local Wareham sports teams are also eligible for funding.
