WAREHAM – David A. Middleton, 61, of Wareham, died Monday, July 29, 2024 at his home unexpectedly.

Born on July 18, 1963 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Gerald G. Middleton, and the late Gail E. (Bodecker) Middleton. A resident of Wareham since 2011, he worked on the production floor for Electro Prep Inc., in Wareham.

David served in the U.S. Navy from 1985 to 1989.

He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. He always had a smile on his face and accepted everyone for who they were. He would treat everyone as family, and everyone always said they loved his smile and wave. David enjoyed hiking and kayaking, gardening, movies, adventure, and travel.

Survivors include his father, Gerald G. Middleton and his wife Kathy; his brother, William Middleton and his wife Maria, and their children, Kathryn, Brandon, Joseph, and Christopher; his sister Mary and her husband Mac, and their children, Eric, Daniel and Lakin; great niece and nephew, Oliver and Korra; his sons, Gerald and his wife Brianne, and step-daughter Vivian; Robert and his wife Megan and their son Aden; Michael and his wife Susanna and their son Xander; James, Jonathan; and Elizabeth and her husband Stefan and their daughters Oceana and Lucinda. Also surviving are many friends, co-workers, especially Donald Greenwood; and his former wife Margo.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 to 7 p.m. Military honors will be rendered at 6:30 p.m.
