Seniors dined together before watching the movie.
The Wareham Council on Aging hosted a dinner and movie night on Nov. 19, with food from Mumma Mary’s and the WCTV documentary “Postcards from Onset” as entertainment.
COA Clerk Jody Santagate said that the group hopes to host another event soon, with a movie relevant to Wareham and dinner purchased from another small business.
“I’d like to thank all of the wonderful ladies from the COA who have worked so diligently volunteering their time for tonight’s event,” Santagate said. “Seeing the happy faces of all those here tonight, is heartwarming. Food and socialization does everyone a bit of good.”
Also in attendance at the event were several people working on the effort to convert the Decas School into a community center, who updated the seniors on their plans.
