This story has been updated to reflect the new date of the parade.
The Wareham Village Association Christmas parade will return to spread holiday cheer with music, dancing, floats and marching on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m.
The beloved annual tradition will start at the High School then proceed down Main Street to Besse Park. Santa Claus himself will make an appearance, not on his sleigh but on a boat provided by the Harbormaster’s Office. Cookies and hot cocoa will be served, courtesy of the Fire Department.
Last year’s parade had almost 80 entrants, and this year, Wareham Village Association President Tracy McGraw expects there to be even more.
To register to participate in the parade, visit https://warehamvillage.org/christmas-parade/ and fill out the online form as soon as possible.
