Eggplant at the book sale
Oct 4, 2011
Saturday's used book sale at the Wareham Free Library featured more than great deals on old books and tapes and videos. To change things up, organizers added a farmer's market.
Drizzly weather forced the vendors inside but didn't deter shoppers.
Justin Cifello, field manager at Bay End Farm of Buzzards Bay, was kept busy selling organic veggies, fresh-cut flowers, and some of the season's last fresh basil.
Linda Burke of A.D. Makepeace sold baked goods from Tihonet Village Market and promoted this weekend's upcoming Cranberry Harvest Celebration.
Other vendors offered local pumpkin pies and gourmet cheeses.
And, oh yeah, there were also a lot of books!
