Esperanza “Hope” Alberti, 71, passed away on December 21 at Forestview Nursing Home. She was the wife of Arthur Guarneri of East Wareham.

Hope was born in Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Antonio Alberti and Carmen Santiago. She was the owner of the former Buzzards Bay Pub on Main Street in Bourne.

She loved her family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Eric Cruz of West Yarmouth and Joseph Guarneri of E. Wareham. She is the sister of Antonio Alberti of New York, Raul, Oscar, and Audia Alberti all of Puerto Rico.  She is the grandmother of Madison, Anthony, and Ava Guarneri, Kristi Wilkins, Eric Cruz Jr., and Jennifer Cruz, and the great-grandmother of Quintin & Laynee Mai Wilkins and Aubruy Pells. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is the sister of the late Mercedes Colon, Lidia Alberti and Ruben Alberti.
