Update: In 2015 Patrick Ladapo was found not guilty of two charges of rape and two charges of indecent assault and battery of a person older than 14. His criminal record was subsequently sealed by the Massachusetts Superior Court.
Patrick Ladapo, the exotic dancer accused of raping two women in Wareham on August 27, was accused of assaulting a woman in separate incident in Providence, Rhode Island, the day before.
According to the clerk's office at the Sixth Division District Court in Providence, Ladapo is charged with simple assault after allegedly grabbing a 23-year-old woman by the neck and trying to lead her to his car on August 26.
He's scheduled for a pretrial hearing in that case on September 23.
According to the clerk's office, Ladapo said he wanted to show her his new car, and had may have been waiting for her outside of her home. The incident allegedly occurred when the woman pulled into her driveway and stepped out of her car.
On August 27, Ladapo performed at a party in Wareham. He was an exotic dancer employed by Blaze Entertainment under the stage name "Damion."
At some point in the evening on August 27, a "raffle" was held, during which each woman wrote her initials on a dollar bill, placed it in a bowl, and were randomly selected for "private" dances. Two woman had their dances in the living room, while two others had them in a bedroom, according to reports.
The women told police that they were sexually assaulted during their respective private dances in the bedroom, according to court documents.
Ladapo, was arraigned on Thursday, August 29, in Wareham District Court. He posted his $20,000 bail at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility and was released.
Ladapo stated that he and a 27-year-old woman spent some time talking in the bedroom before he gave her a private dance, and he thought they'd "hit it off." Ladapo states that she was fully clothed throughout his performance, and denies having any inappropriate contact with her, according to court documents.
The 21-year-old woman told the other women at the party that Ladapo had pushed her face onto the floor and assaulted her, according to court documents. When police relayed that information to Ladapo, he denied doing anything wrong, saying, "no, that would be rape," according to reports.
By the night of Thursday, August 29, Ladapo's profile had been removed from the Blaze Entertainment website.
