A Rose Point residence sustained an estimated $25,000 damage in an interior fire Wednesday night. The occupant was safely rescued from the building, and there were no injuries reported.

The incident was reported at 9:35 p.m. on Wednesday.  Three engines and a ladder truck responded to the scene, a wood-frame, single story dwelling at 37 Marine Avenue.

The cause of the fire appears to be accidental but remains under investigation according to a Wareham Fire Department report.
