Makepeace Neighborhood Fund Grants available

A.D. Makepeace Company President and CEO Michael P. Hogan has announced that applications for Makepeace Neighborhood Fund grants are now being accepted.

The foundation, wholly funded by the A.D. Makepeace Company, was founded in 2005 and since then has awarded 279 grants totaling more than $1.5 million.

Grants are awarded for projects that benefit the residents of Carver, Plymouth, Rochester, and Wareham, and are in the disciplines of education, health care, the environment, agriculture, historic preservation, community housing, and community services. Applicants must be non-profit organizations or units of local or regional government (such as public schools). Individuals are not eligible for grants.

Application materials are available on the A.D. Makepeace Company website, admakepeace.com. Proposals are due by 4 p.m. on Monday, March 9.

The A.D. Makepeace Company is the world’s largest cranberry grower, a founding member of the Ocean Spray co-op, the largest private property owner in Massachusetts, and a recognized leader in environmentally responsible land development and stewardship.
