Mary E. “Betty” Miner, 89, of West Wareham, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, at Tobey Hospital.  Betty was born in North Kingstown, R.I. the daughter of the late Albert and Gladys Mae (Standeven) Bushnell.

Betty attended North Kingstown public schools and graduated from North Kingstown High School in 1941 at the age of 16.  She retired as a benefits administrator from the New England Telephone and Telegraph Co.  She enjoyed ballroom dancing, bicycling and swam two miles every day until she was 78.

Betty is survived by her two daughters; Sheryl G. Currier of Malden & Donna B. Crawford of W. Wareham.  Betty was the loving grandmother of Jacyln, Robert and Teddy. She was also survived by five great grandchildren, many loving relatives & friends and she was the mother of the late William B. Miner Jr.
