Opinion: ‘Always the same’ for proposed drug abuse treatment center

It is always the same. People say that we need more treatment centers, places for the homeless, etc. Then when it is proposed, but in their neighborhood, or any where near them, they are up in arms and are basically saying, "Anywhere but here." They are akin to the "fair weather friend." As long as you can mouth the words and never have to put them on the line you are so caring. When you then have to actually back up your words you bail out.
