Paul J. Gouthro, 74, of Wareham died Sept. 5 at home. He was the son of the late Melvin and Catherine ( Dedieu) Gouthro.

He was born in Boston and lived in Wareham for 30 years.

Mr. Gouthro graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Mr. Gouthro worked at Digital Equipment Corporation as a manufacturing telecommunication systems manager.

He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include his son, John R. Gouthro and his companion, Wendy of Brockton; his daughter, Sharon Gouthro and her spouse, Lisa of Mattapan; a brother, Melvin F. Gouthro of Wrentham; a sister, Claire Healey of Hanson; 3 grandchildren; a great-grandson; nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late John Robert Gouthro and Jean Marie Hawe.

His funeral was held Sept. 8 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at St. Patrick’s Church. Burialis in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.
