Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in Cranberry Highway accident

A young woman pedestrian was struck by an SUV just after 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, in an accident that caused life-threatening injuries. 

The woman was attempting to cross Cranberry Highway at the intersection with Tihonet Road when she was struck.

The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries, and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. Her current condition is unknown, according to both State and Wareham Police.

The driver of the SUV, a 2017 Nissan Rogue, stayed on scene.

The State Police accident reconstruction team assisted the Wareham Police in the investigation, which is still ongoing.

It is unclear whether the driver will face charges stemming from the incident.
