Richard "Ricky" "Ram" McGruder passed away unexpectedly September 23, 2013 into the hands of God.

He was the son of Lillian "Spinola" McGruder of Wareham and Richard "Dicky" McGruder of Virginia.

Ricky was beloved and embraced by his entire loving family and friends. Ricky's  pride and joy was his large family, and doing God's work.

He worked in the home health care business for many years, took care of family and volunteered in churches. His passion was volunteering,working and cooking in soup kitchens. He had a great love for cooking, eating and making people happy.

Ricky loved to talk, laugh and cry all in the same sentence. He will be greatly missed by many.

Ricky was a member of the Onset Four Square Church and enjoyed helping Pastor Gerald Fernandes, with the culmination of a new Church in New Bedford.

He is survived by his loving parents, brothers Kevin of Florida, Stephen of New Bedford, Aaron of New York, and sister Tammy of Hyannis, as well as aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ricky is predeceased by his brothers Baxter and Phillip McGruder.

A Memorial Service will be presented by Pastor Gerald Fernandes at the Onset Four Square Church on Wednesday October 2, 2013, at 7pm. Burial will be private.
