Rosella (Mitchell) Bucknall, 86, of East Wareham, died on March 2 at Tobey Hospital, following a period of declining health.

She was born on September 24, 1924 in Middleboro, the daughter of the late Francis J. and Mary A. (Pierce) Mitchell.

Rosella had a career in education. She was a teacher for many years prior to her retirement. A true lover of animals, she provided quality care and affection to many throughout her lifetime.

Rosella is survived by cousins, including Harold DeMoranville, Betty Swift, Mary Veiga, Sally Chaves, Donald Rullo, Vito Rullo, Barry Rullo, John Rullo, Jeanne Rullo, David Rullo, Jr., Jeffrey Rullo and Robert Rullo, Jr..

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street, Middleboro. Calling hours will be held prior to the service at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
